Alexandra Shaver is an artist and visual arts teacher residing in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BFA from The Cooper Union and a MA in Art Education from New York University. She strives to show the inherently mystical qualities of the world around us. Her work is imbedded with symbols and focuses on the intricacies of her subjects. Through use of luminous colors and paint that radiates, she is interested in capturing the intangibility of light.
